Mrs. Judy Kay Sheffield

Mrs. Judy Alexander Sheffield Funeral services for Judy Alexander Sheffield, 64, of Kilgore, will be held December 7, 2013 at 1 p.m. at West View Church of Christ with Brother John W. Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Kilgore Baptist Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction Victory Funeral Services   Judy Kay was born May 11, 1949 in Kilgore, Texas, the daughter of Henry Hamilton and Iona “Becky” Alexander. She departed this life on November 27, 2013 at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Kilgore, Texas.   Early in life she accepted Christ and was baptized at Westview Church of Christ where she served faithfully until her demise.   She was a graduate of C. B. Dansby High School in the Class of 1969 and a member of the band. For many years she worked at Petty’s Fish Market until her health failed. She was united in marriage with Solon Sheffield and four daughters were born to this union.   Her parents, a sister, Karen Alexander, four brothers, Jessie, Donald, Jimmy and Jack Hamilton and a grandson, Byron Alexander all preceded her in death.   She leaves to cherish a beautiful memory to her husband, Solon Sheffield of Kilgore, TX; five daughters, Regina “Candy” Powe, Sonia “Nang” Sheffield, Angela Sheffield and Kimberly Sheffield all of Kilgore, TX and LaTanya Alexander Washington of Norfolk, VA; four sisters, Sue Ella “Patsy” Hall of Norfolk, VA, Mildred Liggins and Gladys Jeffrey both of Longview, TX and Willa Johnson of Houston, TX; four brothers, James “Benny” Alexander of Dallas, TX, J. B. Davis of Arlington, TX, Henry Hamilton of Tyler, TX and Bobby Hamilton of Dallas, TX; special friends, Christine “Cooda” Camp and Gloria Pittman both of Kilgore, TX; 13 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.   Viewing at the funeral home will be Friday, December 6, 2013 from noon with family visitation from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
