.25Annie Mae Williams Funeral services for Annie Mae Beasley Williams, 68, of Longview, Texas will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 5, 2020 with Rev. Raymond Ingram officiating at Victory Funeral Services with burial to follow at Shady Grove Cemetery in Gary, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Victory Funeral Services.Annie was born on Thursday, May 15, 1952 in Carthage, Texas to the parentage of Marvin Glaspie, Sr. And Anna Lee Beasley and was raised by her aunt and uncle, Marvin and Inez Beasley, and her grandmother, Mary Ingram Beasley. She departed this life on Monday, November 30, 2020 at Christus Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview, Texas.In her youth, she united with and was baptized at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Gary. Upon her relocation to Kilgore she became a member of Kilgore Baptist Church where she was an active and dedicated member serving as President of the Women’s Missionary Society starting in 2003 and until her health failed and held the position until her demise. Her dedication extended with loyal and dutiful work in the East Texas District Association / Longview District. Over and above her work within the church she could be found often visiting, playing the piano and singing for those residing in the local nursing homes. Being a woman of care and love, she continued ministering to others even during her personal stay in her nursing facility.Her early education was garnered in the public schools of Carthage Independent School District where she was a member of the band and choir with graduation from Carthage High School in the Class of 1970. She later garnered her associate’s degree from Kilgore College and received her certification as a licensed vocational nurse. After college she worked for many years tending residents in different area nursing facilities with her career ending with employment at Heritage Manor Nursing Home. In her early years she gave birth to twins, Lynn and Gwen, and later married Travis Williams and one son, Johnny Travis, was born to this union.Her parents, grandmother, Mary, aunt and uncle, Marvin and Inez, and brothers Roy Gene Glaspie, and Clarence Glaspie all preceded her in death.She is survived by her children, Lynn Beasley and his wife, June of Gary, TX; Gwen Jeffery and her husband, Rev. Chris of Longview, TX; and Johnny Travis Williams of Kilgore, TX; sisters, Anna Bell Goodson of Henderson, TX; Cynthia Johnson of Tyler, TX; a brother, Marvin Glaspie, Jr., of Henderson, TX; grandchildren, Delynnderick Beasley and his wife, Camory of Carthage, TX; Canebra Beasley of Gary, TX; Christa Jeffery and Christian Jeffery both of Longview, TX; special friend, Mrs. Doris Daniels of Kilgore, TX; great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends.Due to the COVID-19 pandemic social distancing and masks are required at the service. Since this will be an outdoor venue please consider bringing a chair if you don’t care to stand throughout the service. Viewing will be held on Friday, December 4, 2020 via drive-thru or exterior walk up from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Victory Funeral Services.
