Mr. Robert Earl Walker

Mr. Robert Earl WalkerRobert was born on Sunday, November 12, 1933 to the parentage of Rev. Mack and Gertrude Sparkman Walker in Henderson, Texas. On Sunday, September 25, 2011 he departed this life at Good Shepherd Medical Center to be with the Lord. He attended Brockfield public schools in Minden, Texas. After working many years as a custodian; he retired from Henderson Independent School District.In his youth, he united with, was baptized at Union Valley True Gospel Pentecostal Church in Henderson, Texas. Later as an adult he became a member at Kilgore Church of the Living God and Macedonia Independent Methodist Episcopal Church where he served as a deacon. Since 2004 he has held membership and served as a deacon at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Kilgore. His parents, a daughter, Willie Ruth Isabell, a sister, Lola D. Walker, four brothers, Lee Burl, Vernell, Andrew, and Jerry Walker all preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Dorothy Walker of Kilgore, TX; five daughters and sons-in-law, Joy Walker, Joann Coleman, Linda and Pookey Lewis, Lola and Johnny Manns all of Henderson, TX; Debra Davis of Tulsa, OK; three sons, Robert Earl Walker, Jr. of Tulsa, OK; Derrick Walker of Kilgore, TX; and Edward Earl Walker of Dallas, TX; sisters, Lola B. Johnson and Cervian Anderson both of Henderson, TX; and Charles N. Hollis of Kilgore, TX; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles A. Walker and Ernest Walker both of Henderson, TX; Joe and Betty Walker of Dallas, TX; uncles, James and Sally Sparkman of Henderson, TX and Charles Sparkman of Vernon, TX; 16 grandchildren, ninegreat-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
