Mr. David Walker

Mr. David Walker, Jr.David was born January 18, 1927 in Upshur County, Texas to the parentage of David and Ida Jones Walker, Sr. On Monday, March 7, 2011 at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview , Texas he departed this life to be with the Lord.He attended Upshur County Public Schools. He confessed his faith in God and united with Wayside Church of God in Christ and later united with Bible Teaching Ministries where he served until his demise. He served in the U. S. Army. He was united in holy matrimony to the late Anna Smith Walker.His wife,  parents, a brother, Gene Walker and a sister Baby Jane Prince all preceded him in death.He leaves to cherish his memory a daughter, Claudia Thurmond of Ypsilanti, MI; four sons, Grady Smith, Leslie Smith and Ray Charles Smith all of Kilgore, TX; and Wesley Smith of Amarillo, TX, two sisters, Ida Walker and Faye Walker both of Dallas, TX;  two brothers, Albert Walker and Haley Walker both of Dallas, TX and a host of other relatives and friends.
